How do I connect my bank account?

To create paid events you’ll need to connect your bank account. If you haven’t yet, whilst creating a paid event it will prompt you to connect your bank account. Alternatively, head to your group page, hit that Manage Group button. Then tap “Edit payout details”. From there, you can go through to Stripe, our trusted payments provider, used by the likes of Airbnb and Uber. If you need help figuring out what to fill out for Stripe, click here.

What should I put on Stripe?

So - big banking ain’t all too big a fan of the humble society. But luckily, we’ve figured it out for y’a.

If you’re an individual, or like a DJ collective or that kinda thing, no problem - hit sole trader and then add your details in. 

If you’re a registered business, it’s even easier. Follow the steps for registered / incorporated business x. 

If you’re a society, and don’t fit the above, best bet is to go for sole trader / individual and then, if asked, membership organisation. For legal name - you are safe to use your personal name and address, and this can be changed when you move on. If you don’t have a website- use your group’s Instagram url.

You’ll be able to edit / update / add team members etc to your stripe account, so don’t worry (see bottom of page) x

You might need to provide some verification documentation - money stuff, just to prove you aren’t an international hitman.

How do I access/change/amend my stripe stuff

If you go and slap that manage group button on your group page, you’ll be able to hit “Edit payout details”. There you’ll be able to click through to access your stripe account. Alternatively, there’s a link you can copy to open up in browser - somethings are better from a laptop.

If you can’t login, chances are a different committee member hasn’t yet added you as a team member. You’ll need to get whoever has access to go to Stripe, and add ya.

From there, you can access settings and amend things like the bank account money is being sent to, add team members (who can access Stripe), and all that marlakey.
