Pricing & Payouts

What's your booking fee? And who pays it?

For the tickets you sell, you keep 100% of the ticket value at all times. We charge a small ,competitive booking fee, but this is always passed to the buyer.

For our standard partners, we charge £0.49p + 3.98% per transaction to attendees. For preferred partners and premium partners, we’ll pay YOU the profit from that booking fee, meaning you’re getting paid extra per ticket you sell. We like to reward our partners xoxo

Contact us by clicking here if you'd like to become a preferred partner.

When will I receive payment for my event?

There are two stages to your payout:
(1) Youni transferring to Stripe, and then
(2) Stripe paying you

1. Youni → Stripe

  • Standard partners: We initiate payout to your Stripe account within 12 hours of the event ending.

  • Preferred partners: You can request early payout (even before your event). Just message your account manager and we’ll sort it right away.

  • Coming soon: For the 2025–2026 academic year, we’re building a self-serve tool that lets you pay yourself out instantly without needing to message us. Stay tuned 👀

2. Stripe → Your Bank

How fast the funds land in your bank depends on your Stripe account’s payout settings:

  • Standard payout (default): T + 7 business days

  • Fast payout: T + 3 business days (you become eligible 30 days after your first payout — this is how Stripe defines an "active account")

  • Instant payout: T + 30 minutes for a 1% fee — once eligible, you can trigger this anytime or set it to always-on inside Stripe.

Here’s more info directly from Stripe:

You can access your Stripe settings by going to Manage Group > Edit payout details in the app and clicking through.

How do refunds work?

If a paid event on Youni gets cancelled, attendees will be notified and the full value of their tickets will be refunded. Please note that, except where Youni is at fault, Youni always retains its booking fee. This is because, regardless of whether the event is cancelled or not, we have to pay ourselves a small fee to handle payments and refunds.

If you as an organiser would like to issue refunds to a particular buyer (or a bunch of them) then do contact us and we can sort. We are in the process of building tools to let you do this yourselves directly, but, small steps here and there.
