Setting up your group
How do I create a group?
First - you need a personal account. So download the app and signup as yourself. Once done, you’ll need to verify your account - you can find that in the profile section of the app, or by trying to follow a group / signup to an event. Once verified, you’re ready to go.
Click the + button in the centre of the navigation bar. Hit create group. Then follow the steps and publish! Don’t worry, you can edit your group at any time, as well as change / add team members (admins) whenever.

What's the difference between a public or private group?
It’s kinda like the difference between public and private insta accounts…
With public groups, any student from your University can see and access your group page and events. For 99% of societies, it’s the right choice! As a public group, you can still create events with private tickets, or events with a combo of private and public tickets.
For private groups, students can search and find your group page, but they can’t see everything. They have to request to follow your group to see and access your full group page and any of your events. Ideal for house parties.
Do organisers need to pay anything?
Nope. Youni is 100% free for societies, and always will be 💜
